Traditional Woodland Crafts (Batsford Woodworking Book) Customer Review: A good beginners guide to working freshly felled wood
Raymond Tabor takes the beginner on a very sedate and easy to follow journey through the steps of finding, using and enjoying green or freshly felled wood. The book is full of excellent drawings and simple explanations which help the novice to understand some of the problems you might encounter along the way. The descriptions of old and very useful hand made tools are clear and concise and don’t assume a prior in depth knowledge of woodworking and the associted skills. Tabor is to be congratulated on making it easier to start using green wood that other books seem to make out

Craft of the Wild Witch: Green Spirituality and Natural Enchantment

Craft of the Wild Witch: Green Spirituality and Natural Enchantment Customer Review: Finally A Book With Feeling!
I haven’t read it all yet but had to write about how impressed I am with it. Instead of “do this” and “do that” the books talks in words of beauty and feeling that fills that missing connection between the idea of living wicca and actually LIVING wicca. Without all the ceremonial clap trap, it inspiries and naturally gives you the right push in the right direction of being a Wild Witch!
Customer Review: Craft of the Wid Witch: Green Spirituality and Natural Enchantment
This was the first of Poppy Palin’s books that I have read and I have to say that as soon as I started reading I loved it. Poppy has such a beautiful way with words and I found renewed inspiration for my path. This book is quite different to most “how to” pagan/ witchcraft book and it is so refreshing to read someone who dares to be different. She writes with a true understanding, empathy and passion. A beautiful, beautiful book. Thankyou for writing it.

Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking and Curing

Historic Arts and Crafts Homes of Great Britain -

Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking and Curing Customer Review: A good book
This is a well researched, readable and helpfully illustrated book. It’s a very good choice if you want a book that will instruct you in a broad range of techniques, provide reliable recipes and inspire you to transform lemons, a whole organic pig and everything else in between.

Don’t worry that this book is over-verbose. There’s no wasted text unless you can only think in bullet points!
Customer Review: Over Verbose
this book is massively over-writen, how-to-do books should, in my opinion, be concise this isn’t you have to wade through loads of text to get to the actual recipe. Fine to put all background stuff in, but separate it. Having said that the nuggets are there!

Beginners Guide to Braiding: Craft of Kumihimo Customer Review: A definite book for the braider or newcomer to braiding
This is an excellent book, full of photographs and instructions. Being a newcomer to braiding I am impressed by how simple the author has made the technique of kimihumo braiding, and it has made me gather some make do equipment to follow her instructions….. and hey presto, I made my first braid.
Recommend to all enthusiastic craftspeople who want to try something a little different.
A big thank you to the author!

Wicca The Complete Craft Customer Review: Complete Guide To Wicca
I have had this book for quite some time now and since I bought it I have heard some differing views on D J Conway, however…

Primarily I think this book is aimed at the new Wiccan, although I am not officially ‘Wiccan’ I do incorporate some parts of Wicca into my path, this book helped me to do that. if you are more advanced or indeed, more experienced this is probably not the right book for you, there are some better books out there for advancing pagans which may be better suited.

This book is good personally I feel for helping to write your own rituals etc.. it gives a lot of good iseas and inspiration. Not only that it also gives you the basics of spell-casting, information on your Book of Shadows, and Moon rituals as well as Sabbat rituals. The book is very well set out with a good table of contents so if you use this as a reference book as well you will find it quite easy to find what you are looking for.

This is a big book with a huge amount of information, a newbie to the craft will get a lot out of this book but, I feel for more experienced pagans it doesn’t give a lot more than possibly you would know already, all round a very good book.
Customer Review: Excellent!! recommended highly!!
I cannot recommend this book highly enough, although I read more basic books when starting out on the wiccan path this is a fantastic book for those wondering whether they should continue or even start, those already practising even those slightly more advanced, The rituals and ceremonies were very good and clear to understand, the banishing ritual was also very good and something that very much interested me. She has covered almost all aspects of Wicca except the cake & ales ceremony that a previous reviewer mentioned.
Not only is this a great book and a joy to read it is also a great book to keep at hand and to refer to when doing your rituals or spells, the meditations and auras were great too, in fact the whole book is.

Blessings.
